VQC (Virtual Quality Control), is a type of remote inspection that partners are required to do with Xometry quality inspectors. Thanks to this VQC process, the orders will be processed faster and our cooperation will be more efficient.
The VQC report is currently in test mode and is not available for all orders and partners.
Xometry’s VQC Process
1. Our QC manager sends to you the VQC Template
If you have received an email from our manager with VQC request, please print the VQC template.
This template contains a list of parts and parameters the parts should be inspected. You can use your own template for such report if it has all needed parameters.
➡️ Here you can download an example of VQC report and see how it looks like.
❗ Please, do not ship the parts until you have sent us a report and received confirmation that you can ship.
2. Inspect your parts and fill in the VQC report
Inspect your parts according to the template you got:
➡️ Items for inspection: Which and how many parts should be inspected - inspect only the parts indicated there.
The number of parts to be checked is according to ISO 2859-1, in this article you can see the details.

Specify dimensions for each sample (S1, S2,...). Pay attention to the minimum and maximum values allowed.

Upon completion of your inspection, send the filled report with a reply email or send to email@example.com to let our team know they are ready for review.
4. Wait for the confirmation
